BILL BRIMM: FAITH, FRAUD, AND FEAR

Coop Gallery / 507 Hagan St. February 7 - 28th (Reception: February 7 1:00pm - 9:00pm)

Bill Brimm

Long time Nashville artist Bill Brimm steps back into the art scene with solo exhibition Faith, Fraud, and Fear, addressing the complex and troubling intersections of religion, greed, and governmental abuse. Social ills prevalent in contemporary society are confronted through a combination of assemblages, digital still lifes, and music-inspired digital collages.

Brimm uses rat traps to reflect a feeling of entrapment, be it political, social, or personal. The artist views this exhibition as fear hanging on the walls.

Other themes Brimm explores include abortion, global warming, bigotry, and gun violence. While his work often expresses anger or sadness, it is tempered with a sense of humor and hope.

Viewers are invited to confront uncomfortable truths and reflect on the implications of oppression in their lives and communities.

COOP is pleased to present Faith, Fraud, and Fear by Bill Brimm. Please join us for the opening reception on Saturday, February 7th from 1-9 PM and for an artist walkthrough on Saturday, February 7th at 5pm. The remainder of the show is open by appointment through February 28th. View the full press release here. https://www.billbrimm.com/news...
