Bio:
I am an artist and teacher living in the Tri-Cities of Northeast Tennessee. As a transplant from the midwest (Iowa / Wisconsin), I have lived in TN for more than 10 years and continue to be amazed on a daily basis at the beauty of the mountains and raw wonder of the landscape.
Statement:
The direction of my artwork is rooted in addressing notions of expectation and cultural attitudes as it defines our relationship to the natural world. My interests in subject matter lay at the intersection between nature / culture and society’s dependence on nature.
