Statement:

“Intuition is essential for survival.” - Craig Drennen

My series, “Fool’s Gold,” explores why we value some ideas and objects in culture more than others. Internet memes are a good example of how humor and violence can become very popular in culture and have a significant impact without providing much context for the content they elevate or diminish. Traditionally, I have made objects, some of them are shown above but, I am in a transition towards a more conceptual/interactive practice. What that looks like remains to be seen. So stay tuned!
