About the Contributor

The Contributor is a nonprofit social enterprise providing economic opportunity to people experiencing or who have experienced homelessness and poverty. We print an award-winning bi-weekly, hyperlocal newspaper that challenges stereotypes surrounding homelessness and tells the stories of our Contributor vendors. Through newspaper sales, our vendors build their own micro-businesses, establish meaningful relationships, and work their way into housing.

About the Unzine

The UNZINE is an in-house publication of the Contributor started by local artist Paul Collins.

The Unzine gives newspaper vendors an opportunity to explore their creative side and get their voice back. Through the UNZINE, Contributor vendors have the opportunity to connect with local artists, have their stories illustrated, and create another product alongside the newspaper to sell

About the Gallery

The Browsing Room is a non-commercial gallery created in the space of the historic DPC’s old congregational library. The gallery serves as an extension of DPC’s long standing studio community known as the Artists in Residence (AIR) who have studio spaces above DPC’s chapel. The Browsing Room connects an art-seeking community with their AIR, and other local and regional artists, by featuring a rotation of quarterly exhibitions. The gallery is currently open by appointment only.
