Marlos E'van

Marlos E’van presents Y.P.N. - his second solo show - on November 4th in the Silo Room at Track One. E’van lays it all on the line once again with a follow-up to his successful debut show, Dyin’ By Tha Gun!

Y.N.P. is an invitation to bring people together from different races, genders, and backgrounds to engage in meaningful conversations about current national issues, such as DACA, police brutality, and the current presidency that have all made life in the U.S. as confusing as it’s ever been. This is a chance for us all to share some sense of unity and clarity in a country so divided. Y.N.P. is a collection of paintings and ideas that are truly For the People.

From E’van: “My work is a statement of the harsh, often self-contradictory ideologies on which America is built. I am interested in how dystopic landscapes speak to longstanding American social problems. Using found materials, obsessive mark making, text, and hyperbole, I hope that my work encourages dialogue among different classes of people.”
