ZACH DUENSING: WINDOWS AND MIRRORS
Arcade Arts Studio 53 / 65 Arcade Alley May 9 - 30th
Zach Duensing
Windows and Mirrors is an exhibition of new works by Zach Duensing - a Nashville based interdisciplinary artist and writer working with sculpture and painting. His work deals with the hyper-modernization of society and the further integration between technology and biology. It is often minimalist and influenced by futurism, brutalism, and science.
Windows is a collection of miniature paintings cut from larger failed paintings using digital collage from the artist's sketches and generated images exploring memory.
Mirrors is a series of robot-created pen drawings on photo paper. Automated and chaotic, the abstract drawings are a visual representation of randomized code allowing viewers to project their own patterns and images upon - their own reflection.
Duensing will open this work in tandem with the Arcade Arts Residency program and the DADA Second Saturday Art Crawl on May 9, 2026. "Windows and Mirrors" is hosted by Jerry Bedor Phillips, the Arcade Arts resident in Studio 53 - located on the second floor other historic downtown Arcade located at 65 Arcade Alley.
