THE POETRY OF COLOR: MARLA FAITH + ARLENE WILSON

Eastside Station / 805 Woodland St. January 12, 2019 - February 8, 2019

Marla Faith, Arlene Wilson

Turnip Green Creative Reuse is proud to debut The Poetry of Color, an exhibition of work by Marla Faith and Arlene Wilson at our Green Gallery at Eastside Station. Drawing inspiration from the collected and reconfigured materials in her collages, Marla Faith assembles the pieces to create what she calls visual poems, stating that ‘art has been my spiritual path, my healing journey, and my way of being a conduit for more beauty to enter the world.’ For Arlene Wilson, her vibrant painting abstractions show a reverence for natural beauty, utilizing color and form, her pieces are a ‘recording what I feel as well as what I see, these paintings have become more and more about the atmosphere, biodiversity and the astonishing energy that the earth provides us with daily.’

We hope you will join us for the exhibition's opening reception on Saturday, January 12 from 6-9pm during the East Side Art Stumble. Don't forget to swing by Turnip Green Creative Reuse after you visit Eastside Station to view our Sustainable Impact Benefit Exhibition.
