RICHARD FEASTER: SOLAR

Zeitgeist Gallery / 516 Hagan St. , #100 December 3 - 31st

Richard Feaster

Richard Feaster’s work explores the artifacts of twentieth-century abstraction. Employing analog and digital techniques, the artist’s own marks - brushstrokes, splatters, and drips are scanned and extensively reworked using computer software. Through a labor-intensive process of collage, these new mediated images interact on canvas with real-world painted elements to produce vibrant, glowing compositions that challenge notions of traditional painterly space while also invoking the virtual world of the computer.
