FINN KISE: PRINCESS
Open Gallery (Lipscomb University) / 507 Hagan St. October 5 - 28th
Finn Kise
Open Gallery is pleased to announce Princess, an exhibition by Finn Kise. Their work takes the form of sculptural pieces –some hanging, some resting on chairs– created through a process of plastering recycled clothing and found fabrics. Princess marks Finn Kise’s debut solo show. In the presented pieces, Kise digs into the manifestations of their gender and traditional gender roles through clothing in deconstructed and hardened forms. This show runs from October 5th through October 28th 2024. The opening reception will be held at Open Gallery on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Finn Kise is an emerging artist and studio art major at Lipscomb University. Born and raised somewhere in Georgia, Kise utilizes available resources and natural space as a central part of their practice. They seek to continually explore new materials and methods often working with recycled and found materials to create sculptural pieces. Kise is currently an intern at Open Gallery and seeks to share art with the Nashville community.
