Both Benjamin and Booker utilize their respective mediums to explore the ways in which culture, media, politics and design intersect with a focus on self-portraits and portraits of people with whom they have relationships. These portraits simultaneously address issues that confront People of Color in America today and bestow power upon their subjects.
