PAUL COLLINS: 100 DAYS PROJECT
COOP Gallery / 507 Hagan St. December 4, 2020 - December 29, 2020
COOP is proud to present Paul Collins’ 100 Days Project. During fall 2020 Collins created over 350 handmade vote signs for neighbors, friends and instagram strangers painting everyday of the 100 days leading up to the 2020 presidential election. These signs were created and distributed for free across Middle Tennessee and beyond both to encourage civic engagement and counterprogram what the artist expected to be a period of fraught societal tension. For this exhibition the artist will display 60 of these signs, plus site photographs and precursor objects that foreshadowed the form and method of the signs. Join COOP for an outdoor reception with fire pits and refreshments on December 5th at 6 PM outside the gallery. Social distancing and mask wearing will be practiced.
