LISA JENNINGS: ON THE WINGS OF BLESSINGS

One of Tennessee’s most distinctive and original visual artists will exhibit her first solo show at the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center’s Papillon Gallery this summer. On the Wings of Blessings will feature paintings, journals, sculptures and mixed-media works created over the past five years, will run Aug. 3 to Sept. 29, 2024.
“It is a thrill to introduce the art of Lisa Jennings to our Monthaven visitors,” says MACC Regional Art Director Ruth Chase. “Lisa’s paintings, sculptures and journals make deep spiritual connections to nature. I think visitors to the gallery are going to love them.”

Her intricately layered multi-media paintings and sculptures were created during a period of heartache and change. The effortless beauty of her work demonstrates both the power of art and resilience of the human spirit.
Lisa Jennings Artist Talk, September 19, 6:30 - 7:30PM
Journey with artist Lisa Jennings as she delves into the influences that shape her work. She will discuss the role of artmaking in her life and how meditation guides the outcome of her work. The evening will include refreshments and an opportunity to meet the artist and ask questions about her work and process.
