Michelle Eistrup, is a visual artist and initiator of artistic collaborations who resides in Nashville. Ms. Eistrup’s art incorporates themes of identity, corporeality, faith, and post-colonialism, with her transnational background (Danish, Jamaican, American) frequently serving as a point of departure. She has exhibited internationally, most recently at Documenta 15 in Germany, and has organized events that facilitate dialogue and research between artists, writers, and curators, for the purpose of encouraging a more integrated, sensitive, and equitable creative exchange.
