Studio 61 presents a two-person exhibition featuring works on paper and sculpture curated by arcade artist-in-residence Georganna Greene.

Matt Christy (Paducah, Kentucky) creates monotypes that merge geometry, structure, and precision- a counter to the noise and chaos of the collective moment. “I value the process for its directness and immediacy. The image is produced in a single action, reducing the time between an idea and a result. Yet I also find the process meditative.”

Natalie Thedford (Nashville, TN) is a ceramic artist who’s work emphasizes “a tactile sensibility rooted in handcraft traditions and a mind intent on surfacing things often overlooked.” Through tender and handling of the material, often repeating elements, the work addresses hidden layers such as “emotions, certain kinds of labor, or materials and processes that settle below the surface in a culture fixated on efficiency.”
