Red Arrow presents Nico’s Playhouse by Marlos E’van. An interactive, event driven, and sensory experience. The exhibition opens Friday October 20th. Followed by the main event, CLOWN PARTY, Saturday October 21st 7:00pm-11:00pm. The installation continues through the week finishing with a closing reception Saturday October 28th from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.

Nico’s Playhouse is a universe inspired by circus performers, clowns, and the idea of the carnival as social commentary. The exhibition title pays homage to the recently deceased performer Paul Ruebens, aka Pee-wee Herman. Through the multifaceted showcase, E’van explores notions of comedy, tragedy, and the long-standing history of BIPOC performers being omitted in the depiction of the circus world.
