JERRY BEDOR PHILLIPS: LANDLOCKED ISLAND

Montgomery Bell Academy / 4001 Harding Rd. February 11, 2020 - April 6, 2020

Jerry Bedor Phillips

Landlocked Island is an exhibition of works on paper that explores themes of family, heritage, and identity through the use of family snapshots, portraiture, and abstracted collage to present a reflection of a Pacific Islander American. The work is an investigation of the complex layers that make up identity and looks for a balance between family/heritage and individual.
