KITH AND KIN (AND CLOUDS)

WAG (Watkins Art Gallery) / 507 Hagan St. July 7, 2018 - July 28, 2018

Heather Dawn and Alison Moore, in collaboration with featured adult artists with disabilities from Friends Life Community

For the July Art Crawl and July show, WAG presents Kith and Kin (and clouds), a group show that represents family and community relationships, and how they impact and influence one another. Watkins alumni Heather Dawn and artist Alison Moore, in collaboration with featured adult artists with disabilities from Friends Life Community, present works that break down barriers in an inclusive show. Together, the artists weather changes, share emotional experiences, and develop creative and collaborative trust: built on the kind of risk-taking that leads to innovation and self-advocacy.

Artists include: Jon Phillippi, Greg Evans, Katie Hamilton, Russell Hinson, Emma Irby, Tyler Chavez, Katie Harbison, Celia Fanning, Natalie Herndon, Travis Hendrith, Kaylea Dunkin. Maya Bregman, Anna Claire Wert, Katie Mulle, Sean Coles, Carrie DePauw, Elizabeth Bloodworth, Randle Webber, and Josh Laser.
