K.J. SCHUMACHER: RINNA
Tinney Contemporary / 237 5th Ave North. September 5 - 30th
Our first physical show since March, Rinna is a full gallery show featuring the abstract work of K.J. Schumacher. You can either email us to schedule a time to come by the gallery (tyler@tinneycontemporary), or stop by during our business hours whenever it is convenient.
The exhibitions title, Rinna, comes from the childhood nickname of the artist’s wife, which emerged as a metaphor for looking back. An obsessive collector of his own studio detritus, Schumacher’s collections yield much of the source material for his work. Recent circumstances of self isolation and social distancing presented an opportunity to look back further, deeper into the collections.
