In 2023 brothers Joe Christy and Matt Christy published a Southern gothic novel called Tributaries about a game warden navigating the corruption in a small rural town. But for their new show at the Browsing Room Gallery And The Horse You Rode In On they return to their first love, painting. And The Horse You Rode In On brings together their literary sensibilities to colorful, dramatic paintings that tell weird, wry, dark narratives, and will also include a table full of their recent book projects.
