TRISTAN HIGGINBOTHAM: GOD MADE DIRT
Electric Shed / 254 Morton Ave. April 16 - June 18th
god made dirt by Tennessee-born Tristan Higginbotham, a solo exhibition. This work is partially conceived and made in residency at Stoveworks in Chattanooga, as well as her New York City-based studio. The works involve sculptural processes that liken to a bird's natural practice of nest-building. The sculptures are made from various materials such as dryer lint, leaves, roots, bones, seed pods, string, and many other materials both organic and human-made.
