One night live performance and video installation. FREEBIRD is about the individual seeking inspiration, awe, and connection in a modern world. Brent Stewart and Willie Stewart are creating ongoing artworks in-flux that become a conceptual platform for various means of image making via multi-media, performance, sculptural and object installation presenting the plight of two characters navigating the terrain of abstract, formal and traditional narratives within and outside the context of the contemporary art milieu.

FREEBIRD is about experiencing a level of intensity, a type of art making that’s about the urgency of the occasion like listening to a good record and sharing the experience without precedent or consequence. It’s not only about the sound, but also the silence.
