The Et Al. Poetry Readings join visiting poets with local poets to investigate the tendencies, obligations, and priorities of contemporary poetry. In order to recontextualize, and make more effective/immersive/inclusive, Et Al. Poetry Readings invite a local artist to re-orient the space of the reading. Taking into account syntax between the poets, the artist's own intuitive reactions to their work, and trajectories they wish to steer the evening, the artist's visual work prefaces the audience to the poet, and foregrounds engagement.
