ELEANOR ALDRICH: MAIN SQUEEZE
Channel to Channel / 507A Hagan St. March 2 - April 20th
Eleanor’s work tells the story of growing up in a poor, rural town in Arizona. Classically rendered oil paintings are hidden beneath a grid of thickly applied silicone and paint. The texture, meant to serve as flesh, squeezes through lawn chairs and hammocks, creating tension between reality and image.
