DISARMED is a pathbreaking exhibition that uses art to explore the tensions surrounding guns, gun violence, and gun politics in U.S. society. Visual art is the perfect medium with which to spark respectful debate about the complex tensions and opinions surrounding firearms in ways that can bring people together across political divides.

DISARMED is a group exhibition featuring local and national artists, including Alex Lockwood, Herb Williams, Sam Dunson, Diedrick Kraajeveld, Natalie Baxter, Dan Crumrine, Susanne Slavick and Michael Murphy and represents a unique partnership between The Rymer Gallery, Vanderbilt’s Center for Medicine, Health, and Society (MHS) and the Safe Tennessee Project.
