ROBERT SCOBEY: DAYLIGHT SALAD DAYS

Lipscomb University's John C. Hutcheson Gallery presents Daylight Salad Days, an exhibit by visual artist Robert Scobey. His work will be exhibited April 4 through May 4. The work on display includes painting, video, and sculpture all centered around memory construction and modes of disappearance.

Scobey is an alumnus of Lipscomb University and holds a MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. While attending the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, he received the MFA Merit Scholarship and the Samuel T. Freeman Memorial Scholarship. Scobey has been a part of several group exhibitions in Philadelphia as well as in Tennessee, Georgia, France and the U.K. He currently teaches at Watkins College of Art, Design & Film in Nashville and is a current member of Nashville-based COOP collective.

Scobey's exhibition will showcase work from his time in residence with Lipscomb's Department of Visual Art during summer 2015.

Scobey will also host a talk at 6:00pm on Monday, April 4, with a reception to follow. The exhibition runs from April 4 through May 4. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am until 7:00pm.
