CALLED: WHAT COMPELS YOU TO CREATE

NKA Gallery / 919 Buchanan St. October 22 - 23rd

What compels you to create?

Inspired by William Edmondson’s words, “God give me this thing,” CALLED explores the connection between creativity, purpose and the inner pull that moves artists to make.

This exhibition invites artists to submit work reflecting themes of calling, purpose, faith, ancestry, identity, legacy, healing, community and more. Artists working across all visual art mediums and at every career stage are encouraged to apply.

Artist submission deadline: September 23 at 6 PM

The exhibition will be presented in conjunction with WE Festival 2026, continuing our celebration of the art, life and legacy of William Edmondson.
