COOP is pleased to present Fjolla Hoxha's interactive performance and gallery show Building a Passport Exhibition. The participatory performance will take place at 7pm on January 3rd in COOP Gallery. This event is free and open to the public. The visual works produced during the performance will be on display from January 3rd - 25th with an opening reception on January 4th from 1 - 9PM.
Building a Passport Exhibition explores the tensions between state-recognized existence and immediate emotional and physical presence by encouraging participants, audience members, and gallery visitors to personally engage with enlarged copies of Hoxha's legal documents.
Fjolla Hoxha is a writer, theater & drama critic, and performance maker from Prizren, Kosova, now based in Nashville, TN. She has collaborated with various artists, collectives and institutions based in Europe and the U.S. and her work has been staged and stage-read in Kosova, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, and UK. Her US debut was at Nashville’s 2024 Kindling Arts Festival.
