Briena Harmening

Tennessee native and Nashville based artist, Briena Harmening (b.1980) is an interdisciplinary artist and arts educator. Her work is autobiographical, exploring text, politics, and southerness while using everyday and nostalgic materials as surfaces. Briena graduated with an MFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Recently, her work has been exhibited at Art Fields, TedX Nashville, and Art of the South.

COOP Gallery will be open on Saturday, August 26: 12-6 and Sunday, August 27: 12-3 following the opening. We hope you'll join us for this 3-day pop-up exhibition!
