ALL THE DAUGHTERS: CARE, MILITANCY & INHERITANCE

This exhibition brings together moving-image works centered on women's stories across generations, geographies, and speculative futures. Through animation, documentary, and experimental narrative, these artists explore care as both a quiet, intimate support and contested terrain shaped by conflict and legacy.

Across these pieces, care is felt in both its presence and its absence, at once sustaining and constraining. We see how mothers, daughters, and communities navigate vulnerability and survival across different landscapes, grounding these shared struggles in specific geographies.

Within these environments, “militancy" manifests not only as overt political struggle, but as quiet, daily acts of refusal and persistence. These everyday acts of resistance enable the artists to imagine futures built on collective survival.

Together these works highlight the cyclical shared nature of what it means to inherit the world as a daughter. By showing how stories are inherited, interrupted, and reimagined across bodies, borders, and generations, the exhibition reveals how care, resistance, and memory allow new forms of collective life to continually emerge.

Space 204 gallery hours are Mondays thru Thursdays 10am to 4pm and Fridays 10am to 3:30pm. Federal holidays affecting gallery hours are observed.
