Accumular features new monotypes by Matt Christy (Paducah, KY) alongside ceramic work by Natalie Thedford (Nashville, TN). Thedford's ceramic objects often reference built environments and industrial surfaces while simultaneously paying homage to the lineage of textile and craft within her family. Each one of Christy's monotypes signals a different mood, energy, and perhaps message threaded by a cohesive and technical structure within which he explores this range. Repeating shapes and woven textures interlace across the two artist's work, inviting a playful encounter with spatial depth and surfacing strange but familiar evocations.

*This show was curated and organized by Georganna Greene inside her studio at the Arcade— located upstairs in suite 61. Greene is a painter, educator, and current artist-in-resident at Arcade Arts Nashville.
