A LESSON I LEARNED, A LESSON I TAUGHT
Radar 615 / 516 Hagan St., #100 October 3 - 31st
The Educators’ Cooperative (EDCO), Tennessee State University, and RADAR 615 present A Lesson I Learned: A Lesson I Taught, an exhibition celebrating five years of EDCO’s Culture Corner conversations connecting Nashville educators with Black artists and creators.
A Lesson I Learned, A Lesson I Taught brings the work of 30 artists and creators who participated in Culture Corner into a physical gallery setting. The exhibition moves dialog that began on Zoom in 2020 into a shared community space further engaing artists, teachers, TSU students, and the public.
This exhibition is coordinated by students in Tennessee State’s inaugural Art 3280: Non-Profit Arts professional development program giving students hand-on experience working with studio artists and galleries producing professional art exhibitions.
Together, these organizations create a living example of how artists, educators, students, universities, and arts organizations can build community through shared work.
