Niles Wallace

The Sunny Side is an exhibition of recent porcelain and stoneware by artist Niles Wallace. Wallace, a professor of ceramics at the University of Memphis, says: "My current work consists of porcelain or stoneware bowls and vases that acknowledge the history of vessels and painting on the decorative form while being tied to contemporary art and social concerns. I am not interested in overly refined or stylized technique and embrace the uncrafted."
