Stephanie Howard

Stephanie Howard's obsessive drawing practice has long served as a space for introspection and divination. Her works are quiet meditations on the human experience and our desire to suspend time or preserve what we know to be fleeing. Inspired by self-taught artists and rich traditions of Southern storytelling, Howard's highly detailed pen on paper works often feature women and text that tease an open-ended narrative, always leaving room for the viewer to fill in the story.
