Sophia Mason works in soft sculpture and installation. For the third installment of Of Plural Worlds, This last show, Archive, takes the form of a nature center traveling exhibition with its back rooms open as the show prepares for archiving, packing up, and filing away. The show connects passing down of clothes and fabric scraps across generations to the passing down of characteristics, values, traumas, sins, and DNA. Sophia Mason pieces together new definitions for family as she acknowledges more of her own moth-eaten and stained fabric from the archive.
