NASTY WOMEN EXHIBITION MEMPHIS

Marshall Arts / 639 Marshall Ave. February 10, 2017 - February 19, 2017

This is the Memphis exhibit of the Nasty Women Exhibition that showed January 12-15, 2017, at the Knockdown Center in Queens, NY, and raised $50,000 for Planned Parenthood. More than 60 artists will exhibit, who identify as or support a Nasty Woman in the face of threats to roll back women's rights, individual rights, and reproductive rights.

We are a group exhibition that serves to demonstrate solidarity among artists who identify with being a Nasty Woman in the face of threats to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, and reproductive rights. Our exhibit also serves as a fundraiser to support Planned Parenthood, and to echo the platform for organization after the Trump Presidential Inauguration in January. Nasty Women Memphis will hold an opening reception on Friday, February 10th, 2017, and a closing reception, including Q&A from some of the exhibited artists, on Saturday, February 18, 2017.
