Carlyle Wolfe

Carlyle Wolfe has spent more than a decade observing a variety of plant forms that grow throughout the Mid-South; recording flowers and herbs in graphite on paper. Her collection of line drawings reflects the gradual and constant change in the landscape. Wolfe's economy of line produces a dramatic, heightened effect, and portrays the fragile beauty of plant life with an astonishing degree of realism that blurs the line between botanical illustration and flower painting.
