Every semester, Memphis College of Art gives its BFA candidates the opportunity to present their works in the college’s professional art gallery, providing hands-on experience in showcasing their works to real-world audiences. This year’s Fall BFA Exhibition features work from six BFA candidates in a range of majors and artistic study, including animation, printmaking, digital media, sculpture and painting. Assistant Professor Lucienne Auz, director of BFA exhibitions, says the work will cover diverse topics. “A dynamic group of BFA students will fill the gallery with artwork exploring a variety of themes that include personal explorations of the subconscious and identity, re-imagining love stories, investigating animal behavior, and a search through history for connections to ancestry,” said Auz.
