Trashformation, chosen by A1 members as the theme for this show, suggests many creative possibilities: using trash as art material, portraying trash (and its formation/transformation) as subject matter, as well as using the idea of trashformation as commentary, as allegory or metaphor, as a challenge, or just as a starting point from which to proceed elsewhere. Artists here have addressed it in various ways and to various degrees, with some A1 members creating items for a collectively made "garden." Juried by Jason Brown, Professor, University of Tennessee School of Art.
On view in KMA's Kramer Education Center through February 15, 2026.
