Printmaking as a medium allows work to be printed in multiple editions; We created this show to highlight how artists interpret multiplicity in printmaking, by creating narratives and environments for small-standing figures and altering the space using printmaking to create an installation. Over the course of the Spring Semester of 2026, under the guidance of Koichi Yamamoto, students have approached multiplicity through a multitude of different printmaking media, including screen printing, monotype, linocut, and Sintra relief printing. With repetition, artists explore how the same design can mean something else in a different context. The idea of creating something bigger than oneself through visual familiarity and extensive care in the process of achieving multiplicity is central to the works displayed. In a demanding, ever-changing phase in their careers, student artists have assembled a collection of their interpretations from prompts that emphasize repetition and interaction with established settings.
