NEW NARRATIVES FOR NORTH KNOX
Knoxville Museum of Art / 1050 World’s Fair Park Dr. July 13 - 14th
// New Narratives for North Knox //
This weekend only! The July installment of the Knoxville Museum of Art's Second Sundays series includes an exhibition of graduate student work from the UTK Landscape Architecture program.
This past Spring as part of a class focused on North Central Knoxville, students constructed a diorama at the 1:87 scale of a portion of the neighborhood. During this construction, students visited the Thorne Rooms at the KMA as a source of inspiration.
Students then crafted imaginative narratives that radically reinterpret the neighborhood and used the diorama as a film set to tell their stories. Stop by this weekend to see if you can recognize your favorite neighborhood spots within the diorama or the student films!
