In obfuscations, Luek Collins and Josh Collins recontextualize fragmented fields of memory through vignettes of the frozen, yet disrupted, southern Appalachian landscape. Employing mixed approaches to photographic and sculptural media, the artists invite quiet, unhurried reflection and a collective consideration of past and future selves, both in and outside of the body.

Engaging with offerings of remembrance, obscured forms, and varied impressions of self-perception (or those of the implicit other), obfuscations interprets space metaphorically, observing the ways in which individual perspective is contemplated, persuaded, warped, and/or reckoned with in relation to the passage of time and shifts in the footprints of southern Appalachia.
