Mental illness is a misconception in society that is normally linked to the word “crazy” or “abnormal,” but it is more than what society makes it out to be. It is constant highs and lows of mood, suicidal thoughts, addiction, disassociation with one’s individual body, or anxiety. The moment you express those suicidal thoughts as a normal factor of life, people’s perception of you changes. Mental illness is widely misunderstood. "Inside these walls" is a show that reflects how individuals suffer through mental illness in a form of photography.
