Join us on Friday, August 4th for the opening of the 2023 Dogwood Regional Exhibition at the Emporium Center & Dogwood Arts Gallery! The exhibition features 46 local and regional artists and was juried by Todd Herzberg. New this year: the exhibition will include 5 installations in the Dogwood Gallery at 123 W. Jackson Avenue.
The Dogwood Regional Exhibition showcases fine art of all styles and genres from progressive and emerging artists within a seven-state radius. Nashville-based artist/printmaker Todd Herzberg (Director of Marketing & Exhibitions for Tennessee Craft), juried the 2023 exhibition and will distribute awards during the opening reception on August 4th.
About the Juror: Todd received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Central Michigan University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Kentucky. After graduate school, Todd taught at Murray State University as the Assistant Professor of Drawing and Foundations Coordinator for four years before moving to Nashville where he is currently the Director of Marketing & Exhibitions at Tennessee Craft. He works predominantly in the processes of drawing, relief printing, lithography and animation which create complex stories with absurdist overtones. His work had been displayed in over 100 exhibitions across the U.S. and abroad including: Hatch Show Prints in Nashville, TN, Münchner Künstlerhaus in Munich Germany, Site:Brooklyn in Brooklyn NY, Artist Image Resource in Pittsburgh PA, Hilo Gallery at the University of Hawaii, University Gallery at Inner Mongolia University in China, Firehouse Gallery in Baton Rouge LA, and the Metrospace Gallery in East Lansing MI.
