Can You Sing Yourself a Life is a collaborative project between artists/roommates/friends Kelsie Conley & Lilly Saywitz. Together they are the Conley/Saywitz household. Together they are full genius and wild combination. Last night a DJ saved my life and breathed it back into me, sweeter than before, full of richness and vibrancy. They did it from the cabin of a shiny red truck by popping a cassette into the player, right as the radio cut out from being too far into the mountains. This project is a team effort, like trading worn out cds and books. The themes are well trod and considered, notations on love, life, and the possibility of generating new selves. However, in the process of trading, these tropes become new again. Friendship is the ultimate transformer, we are always new in our loved ones eyes.
