Slocumb Galleries presents Beyond Photojournalism, Before Clinchfield, a photographic exhibition featuring the works of Ron Campbell, Katie Sheffield, Larry Smith, and Charles Warden. Join us for a closing reception along with the artists and Guest of Honor,ETSU VP Jeremy Ross, on Monday , August 28, 2023 from 5-7 pm.

Cumulatively, Campbell, Sheffield, Smith, and Warden have been photographing and working at East Tennessee State University for more than 30 years. Campbell, Smith, and Charles have worked with University Relations as photojournalists and Sheffield as the Visual Resource Curator with ETSU’s Department of Art & Design. While they have each photographed the ETSU community, their work extends beyond the campus boundaries. This exhibition features both landscape and portraiture photography telling stories both locally and from around the world
