YEAR OF THE METAL RAT

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2020 is the Year of the Metal Rat. The Rat is the sign known for being inquisitive, shrewd, and resourceful, and a Rat year is a year of renewal. For the 2020 edition of the Juried Student Exhibition, juror Jiha Moon encouraged student submissions that explore cultural identity through hybridity or absurdity, or, quite simply, artwork that might represent new beginnings.
