WINDOWS OF LIFE

The Civic Arts League of Chattanooga / CHI Memorial Hospital, 2525 de Sales Ave. September 17 - November 19th

The Civic Arts League of Chattanooga proudly announces its latest exhibit entitled Windows of Life featuring original works by its members. This intriguing exhibit is hosted by CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga and is now on display near the hospital gift shop just inside the Surgical Services Entrance B located at 2525 de Sales Avenue. An opening reception will be held on Tuesday, September 17 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., and the public is cordially invited to stop by to meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments. The show will continue through Tuesday, November 19.

Participating artists will present their own unique interpretations of the theme "Windows of Life." Each piece will depict a moment in time captured on canvas or other surface. Visitors may find an entire story in a painting, or simply a snippet of a story told visually. The exhibit will encompass impressionistic landscapes, exquisite florals and still life paintings, fanciful abstracts and more.

The Civic Arts League was founded by a group of artist friends in 1963, in order to provide a place for local artists to gather, enjoy fellowship, paint together, learn from each other and from established artists and guest speakers. Members come from all around the Greater Chattanooga/North Georgia area. The group meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, located at the corner of Brainerd Road and Belvoir Avenue in Chattanooga. Anyone with an interest in art is welcome to attend! To inquire about membership, contact Membership Director Sandra Babb at (423) 227-9464 or sandrababb93@gmail.com.
