IN THE LIBRARY: HIGHLAND PARK POINT CLOUD

WORK BY RAYMOND PADRON

OPENING: FRIDAY, MAY 5, 5-8 PM

A point cloud is a collection of data points in space (x,y,z) that lay the foundation of a digital form. Highland Park Point Cloud is a collection of 36 objects. Each scanned from the landscape of my neighborhood and CNC carved in wood. Together they outline the shape of a complex and changing community. An exercise in careful looking, albeit with the aid of a digital eye. An attempt at better knowing a place through its ecology and the objects that have been woven within it.
