MOUNTAINS & MYTHS
Gallery 1401 / 1401 Williams St., Suite 110 April 11 - 30th
David Hollier
Mountains & Myths reaches deep into the history and beauty of Appalachia, honoring a landscape both formidable and tender. Artist David Hollier draws from the cultural lineage of the Tennessee mountains, illuminating the figures, folklore and quiet resilience born from its ridgelines. The work unfolds as a meditation on place, where memory gathers like mist and icons rise from the terrain that shaped them.
Gallery 1401, Chattanooga’s longest-standing art gallery, approaching three decades of continuous presence, is proud to present this exhibition. Known for its focus on high contemporary art and a curated selection of fine jewelry, the gallery has long championed artists whose work carries both intellectual rigor and aesthetic power.
Gallery 1401 invites you to experience the collection during its opening weekend, April 11 – 12. An artist brunch will be held from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. The collection holds particular resonance, shaped by the legends and landscapes of our storied home. For more information, visit gallery1401.com.
