AVA will host a special fundraising exhibit and art auction to assist local artists affected by the devastating fire that destroyed their work and studios on Williams Street.

On Thanksgiving, the Makers Off Main building, near the corner of Williams and Main Street, caught fire. Several businesses and artist studios housed there were completely and destroyed. The tenants of the building were able to remain strong because of the help and encouragement from the city of Chattanooga. "Many Chattanoogans provided words of support which allowed us to help one another in this time of crisis", says Adam Kirby, one of the artists who lost his studio and work in the fire. The artists from this space came together and created a traveling art auction, dubbed 'Makers Off Main', to raise money for the losses everyone has suffered.

AVA has offered the gallery space for a two-week show dedicated to those artists affected by the fire.

Join us January 13th at 5:30 PM for the opening of Makers Off Main Exhibition & Auction, featuring artists Adam Kirby, Brent Weston, Hanna Hahn, and Jason Doan along with donated work from other supportive Chattanooga artists.

Live music, beverages and food will be provided with your $5 entrance donation. ALL of the money collected from the entrance fees, auction and art sales will be divided evenly among the affected artists. Special, Friday the 13th opening night only, pricing on original works of art with purchases benefiting the cause!
